SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Holly Weber has joined the Southern Conference staff as its director of creative services. Weber assumed her post on Monday, Oct. 2.
In her new position, Weber will be responsible for enhancing SoCon championships through graphic design production, the capturing and editing of championship video and on-site support in championship operations. She will also create and help execute marketing plans for league championships and events and will oversee the conference’s social media strategies.
Weber spent the last two years as a sports information coordinator at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tennessee, where she was the primary media relations contact for women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, softball and men’s and women’s cross country and track and field. She also served as the Golden Eagles’ social media coordinator and was the primary designer for all athletics graphics.
Weber spent nearly four years as a sports information assistant at her alma mater, Carthage College, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and spent a year as a sports writer for the Racine Journal Times. The Salem, Wisconsin, native also served as a sports development intern for the Kenosha (Wis.) Area Convention & Visitors Bureau in the spring of 2014.
A four-year tennis player at Carthage, Weber won the No. 5 singles title at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Women’s Tennis Championship in 2014.
Weber graduated magna cum laude from Carthage in 2014. She double-majored in communication and exercise science and minored in public relations.
