TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Mercer snapped it’s two-match losing skid with a convincing 6-1 win over Florida A&M on Tuesday in Tallahassee.

Mercer’s lone misstep on the day came in doubles play as Florida A&M won at flights one and three to take the point and a 1-0 lead.

The Bears made quick work of the Rattlers in singles play, however, winning all six matches in straight sets. Haley Powell, Marie Mottet, Anna Sovic and Katia Stavroulaki all won their singles matches 6-1, 6-0, with Stavroulaki providing the win that clinched the match for Mercer.

Katie Sidor added a 6-2, 6-0 win at flight three and Grace Korta followed with a 6-3, 6-2 win at flight two to wrap up the match.
