CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team scored a 7-0 win over Alabama A&M at the Champions Club this afternoon. The Mocs improve to 4-7 overall while the Bulldogs are winless after 10 matches.

The Mocs won the doubles point for the sixth time this season and the fourth in the last five outings. Junior Austin Boaz and freshman Simon Bustamante teamed up for the first time and scored a 6-0 win at No. 2.

Seniors Lucas Plesky and Derrick Brown won their second straight as a pair. This time they posted a 6-1 victory at No. 3.

The Mocs kept the pressure on in singles with straight-set wins across the board. No individual lost more than five games.

Bustamante won his fifth in a row at No. 4, improving to 5-2 in the spring. Freshman Max Grobbelaar made it three in a row with his win at No. 6.

Others posting singles points today include Plesky at No. 1, freshman Niklas Gerdes at No. 2, senior Nic Wilson at No. 3 and Brown at No. 5.

Up next for the Mocs is the Southern Conference opener at UNCG on Sunday.
