DADE CITY, Fla. – The Samford women’s golf team finished sixth at the Spring Break Shootout, hosted by Western Kentucky and Southern Mississippi, Monday and Tuesday at Lake Jovita Golf Club (par-72, 6,325 yards).
Samford posted a team three-round score of 915 (295-308-312) to finish sixth in the 13-team event. Georgia Southern won the tournament with a score of 897 (302-299-296).
Individually, Samford was led by Madeline Davis (72-75-80) and Haley Harrington (80-73-74), both tying for 13th with identical scores of 227. Emily Uhland finished 30th with a score of 232 (73-80-79).
Anna Buchanan came in 34th in the event, firing a three-round score of 234 (74-81-79). Hallianne Hobson tied for 40th with a final score of 236 (76-80-80).
Nichada Satasuk of Southern Mississippi earned individual medalist honors, shooting a three-round score of 217 (70-72-75).
Samford will return to action on March 17 when selected individuals participate in the Bama Beach Bash in Gulf Shores, Ala. The next team event will be on April 9, when the Bulldogs compete in the Brickyard Intercollegiate in Macon, Ga.
