GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG women’s tennis dropped a 6-1 decision to the Davidson Wildcats Wednesday afternoon at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center. The match, originally scheduled to be played outside, was moved indoors because of inclement weather. UNCG falls to 3-16 on the season. Davidson improves to 13-4.
The Spartans dropped the doubles point, falling at No.1 and No. 3. The pair of Blaine Boaz and Nancy Bridges helped UNCG avoid the sweep. The pair defeated Anna C. Fester and Ally Sexton, 7-6 at No. 2.
In the singles portion, Alice Taylor earned the Spartans’ lone point of the afternoon. Taylor defeated Megan Scholvinck, 6-4, 6-4 (10-8). UNCG fell in straight sets in the other five singles matches.
