ROME, Ga. – The Mercer women’s track and field program opened the 2019 outdoor season with four event wins at the Berry College-hosted Victor Ice Breaker Duals on Saturday.

Mercer won the 4x400-meter relay, 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash events to kick off its 2019 season in a strong fashion. Madison Mueller, Marion Meadows, Tessola Duncan and Kennedi Weston-Shields won the 4x400 meter relay in three minutes and 58.92 seconds.

The individual wins were by Cherrish Wright in the 100-meter dash (12.12 seconds), Lauryn Dancy in the 200-meter dash (25.63 seconds) and Mueller in the 400-meter dash (59.03 seconds).
