SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford women's golf team finished first in the USC Upstate 1-Day on Saturday, with Kristine Torralba and Lina Settelmayer tying for first place by shooting 1-under-par for the day.
As a team, Wofford finished with a 298 (+10), beating USC Upstate, Gardner-Webb and Appalachian State. Torralba, a freshman, and Settelmayer, a junior, finished two strokes ahead of the third-place finishers. Torralba, a native of Manila, Philippines, shot a tournament-best even par on par 4's while Settelmayer led the pack with four birdies on the day.
Junior Anna Eddy finished tied for seventh place, shooting a 4-over-par 75. Lindsey Hollis rounded out the scoring for the Terriers, totaling an 81 in her second collegiate tournament.
The Terriers will next tee off on September 23-24 at the Elon Invitational.
