SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Georgia Southern’s Sara Curry has been honored as the Southern Conference Women’s Runner of the Week for her performance during the weekend of September 21-22, the league office announced.

The senior from Lawrenceville, Ga. was the highest Eagle finisher (14th) at the University of West Georgia Invitational, finishing the 5K course with a time of 19:31.00. Curry paced the Eagles to a fifth-place team finish.

Curry is a Nursing major with a 3.72 GPA.

Georgia Southern will return to action at The Citadel’s Bulldog Invitational this Saturday.
