SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Aaron Hansen, a redshirt freshman wrestler at The Citadel, has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for December 12, the league office announced today.

Hansen posted his 11th win of the season on Thursday in the conference opener against Davidson when he recorded a 5-2 decision over Matt Zarth in the 133-pound bout. The win improves his record to 11-6 on the season.

The Summerville, S.C., native holds a 3.829 GPA in Criminal Justice.

Other nominees included Appalachian State men's baksetball's Nathan Healy and Chattanooga women's baksetball's Kayla Christopher.
