Junior Scott Collins saw action at the No. 4 spot against Walker Lyons, handing Lyons a 6-1, 6-4 defeat.

At the No. 5 position, freshman Paul Bartholomy battled Sam Burns losing the first set then made a comeback to claim the final two sets winning 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, en route to capturing the match victory for the Terriers.

“We knew that today’s match was going to be really close,” said head coach Rod Ray after Wofford’s victory. “Davidson has a good team. The doubles point couldn’t have been any closer, and Davidson won that battle. Today’s win was a team effort. There is something about this team that they just will not quit. They truly have a never give up attitude.”

The Terriers will take a 10-day break before resuming play Sunday, March 30 against SoCon foe the College of Charleston at the Reeves Tennis Center at 1  p.m. on Wofford’s campus.
