About the Championship The 2011 Southern Conference Women's Soccer Championship took place on Friday, November 4th and Sunday, November 6th in Greensboro, N.C. The 18th annual Southern Conference Women's Soccer Championship was held at the UNCG Soccer Stadium. The Quarterfinals (First Round) were hosted by the top four seeds on Sunday, October 30th. Those games determined who advanced to the Semifinals/Final in Greensboro, N.C. Adrianne Mancino's blast from 25 yards out with less than three minutes remaining in regulation proved to be the winning tally as No. 1 seed Samford defeated No. 3 College of Charleston, 1-0, in the championship match of the SoCon Women's Soccer Championship. |
