Neili Akridge is in her first year as executive assistant to the commissioner at the Southern Conference. The Spartanburg, South Carolina, native joined the SoCon staff on April 11, 2016. She oversees numerous administrative tasks, including the day-to-day operation of the SoCon office.
Akridge aids in the management of the conference’s business and financial operations and assists with the planning and execution of conference meetings. She also serves as a liaison between the league office and SoCon member institutions.
Akridge came to the SoCon after four years as a customer service associate at Morgan Stanley in Spartanburg. She has also served as an executive assistant at House Beautiful Magazine in Charlotte, North Carolina.
A 1995 graduate of Salem College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Akridge serves on her alma mater’s Alumnae Board. The married mother of three also serves as the president of the Pine Street School’s Parent Teacher Organization.
