2017 Women's Golf Championship
April 23-25 • Country Club of Lexington • Lexington, S.C.

The Furman Paladins won their third straight Southern Conference Women's Golf Championship, turning in an 8-under-par 568 to claim a 28-shot win over runner-up Chattanooga. The Paladins' Natalie Srinivasan won the individual championship and was named the 2017 Southern Conference Freshman of the Year after shooting a 5-under 139 for the tournament at the par-72, 6,159-yard Country Club of Lexington.

Furman followed up Sunday's round of 280 with a 288 on the final day of the tournament for the best 36-hole score in SoCon tournament history, besting its own 2015 effort by five strokes. Srinivasan's score is the second-lowest by a SoCon player over 36 holes in SoCon Championship history. This year's event was shortened from the scheduled 54 holes because of inclement weather Monday.

With the win, Furman clinched the SoCon's automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals. The NCAA field will be announced live Thursday, April 27 at 11 a.m. (ET), live on the Golf Channel.
