UNCG Defeats Charleston Southern, 45-37, Will Host Brown in Quarterfinals Sunday // Box Score // Photos

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Behind a dominant performance inside the paint, UNCG took down Charleston Southern 45-37 Thursday night at the Buccaneer Field House, advancing to the quarterfinals of the Women’s Basketball Invitational.

The Spartans will host Brown Sunday in the quarterfinal round, taking on the Bears at 2:00 p.m. at Fleming Gymnasium. Tickets will be five dollars for adults, three dollars for seniors over 55 and children under 12.  READ MORE

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Kahlia Lawrence scored a game-high 19 points and Sydni Means added 15, but it was not enough on Thursday as the Mercer women's basketball team fell to Alabama in the Women's National Invitation Tournament.
The Bears end the 2016-17 season with a 25-7 record and for the second straight season, Mercer set a program record for wins in the NCAA DI era. Mercer also earned a postseason bid for the third straight year and for the first time in program history recorded three consecutive 20-win seasons.  READ MORE
