CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – University of Tennessee at Chattanooga head softball coach Frank Reed is in Oklahoma City this week, serving as an assistant coach with the Mexican National Women's Team. They are competing at the USA World Championships (July 5-9).

Following this week's competition, the team heads to Vancouver, B.C. to participate in the Canadian Open Championship, July 11-17. This is all in preparation for the Regional Central American, Pan American qualifier Aug. 4-13 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

“I coached five years with the Dominican National Team and I was not sure I was going to get another opportunity,” stated Reed. “This is a great chance to coach some of the best players and work with the best coaches in their country. It is a big honor for me, and not many people get to do this, so I look forward to it.”

Team Mexico plays Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. (E.D.T.) against Australia, followed by a 7:30 p.m. contest against Team USA. A full schedule is available here, along with links for live streaming of the games.
