SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford women's soccer team won 6-0 over S.C. State on Monday evening at Snyder Field. The Terriers got the scoring started in the eighth minute and never looked back, adding five insurance goals to secure the win.

The win moves the Terriers to 6-7-1 overall and Wofford remains 1-3-1 in the conference.

Wofford started the scoring the eighth minute when Hayley Younginer hooked up with Katie Beuerlein, who beat the Bulldog keeper. The Younginer/Beuerlein duo struck again four minutes later when Younginer sent a through ball into the attacking area and Beuerlein caught up to the pass and beat the keeper increasing the Terrier lead to two.

Wofford added to its lead just over 10 minutes later when Emma Fletcher linked up with Hannah Washko just inside the 6-yard box, increasing the score to 3-0. Thirty seconds later, Fletcher then linked up with Younginer just outside the penalty area and Younginer cashed in on the chance, increasing the Wofford lead to 4-0.

Wofford scored once again in the 33rd minute, this time off of a Hannah Washko corner kick. She linked up inside the box with Beuerlein, who headed it past the Bulldog keeper, sending the game into the half 5-0 Wofford.

The Terriers completed the scoring in the 76th minute when Anna Perko scored from 25 yards out to clinch the game for Wofford 6-0.
