KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Furman’s Laurence Wyke has been named a second-team United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American, it was announced on Thursday afternoon.

Wyke, a native of Bolton, England, tallied nine goals and added four assists this past season en route to earning Southern Conference Player of the Year honors and first-team All-SoCon accolades. He was named to the USC All-South Region squad and USC Scholar All-South Region team earlier this month.

The midfielder paced the Paladins with 22 total points while helping lead Furman to a 12-5-3 record as a junior. Wyke guided Furman to nine shutouts and helped limit opponents to just 19 goals in 20 matches in his first season in Greenville.

The junior business administration major sports a 3.42 GPA.
