SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU forward Cameron Woodfin has been named the Southern Conference men’s soccer player of the week for all competition Oct. 22-28. The weekly award is the final one of the season.
ETSU finished their regular season with wins against Belmont and Mercer. The redshirt senior netted the game-winning goal to give ETSU the win against Mercer, who was previously unbeaten in SoCon play. This win secured the No. 2 seed in the SoCon championship for the Bucs. Woodfin took eight shots with five of them being on goal, as well as playing all but two minutes in both games.
The Bucs will have the first two rounds of the tournament off. They will take the field once again on Nov. 9 when they play in the quarterfinals against the winner of No. 3 Furman and No.7 VMI/No.6 Belmont.
Also nominated: Trevor Martineau (Mercer), Manny Apau (UNCG) and Connor Donohue (Wofford).
