The Citadel’s Matt Crim earned SoCon Pitcher of the Week honors for the week ending April 16.
Crim, a sophomore from Summerville, S.C., pitched his first career complete game shutout as The Citadel beat Appalachian State, 17-0, on April 14. He held the Mountaineers to nine hits while striking out seven and walking one in the second game of a doubleheader. After dropping the first game of the three-game series, The Citadel won the final two contests.
