Elon infielder Chase Austin was named Southern Conference Player of the Week for the week ending April 16.
Austin batted .692 (9-of-13) with three doubles and a triple while driving in six runs and scoring three. He had at least two hits and two RBIs in each of Elon’s three games against Furman, going 3-for-4 in the opener, 3-for-4 and 2-4 in the April 14 double header. Elon won two of the three games against The Paladins
Other standout performances were turned in by Zach Brown (CIT), Andrew Franco (ASU), Keith Munns (WOF), Barrett Shaft (WCU), Griffin Benedict (GSU) and Rob Wilson (DAV).
