Atlanta-based Career Sports & Entertainment (CSE) is the marketing/media partner of the Southern Conference. CSE and the SoCon reached agreement on a three-year contract that runs through May of 2014.

CSE has been in business for more than 25 years, connecting corporate brands with fans through the intersection of sports and entertainment. Among the franchises that have been clients of CSE are the New York Yankees, the Atlanta Falcons, the Atlantic 10 Conference and the Houston Texans. Corporate brands working with CSE have included Coca-Cola, ESPN, AT&T, Comcast and Kellogg’s.

In its obligations to the SoCon, CSE coordinates all existing corporate partner relationships, assists the conference in identifying new ones and consults the conference on its marketing and promotional strategies. Phil McCarn is the Director of Property Consulting at CSE, and along with David Peters, account executive for business development, is the primary contact for the SoCon.

Additionally, CSE oversees all production elements of the SoCon Sports Network which will produced approximately 50 live contests for television and digital distribution in 2011-12. Ned Simon, Vice President of Programming, serves as the executive producer. Simon has an extensive background in television at ABC Sports and Turner Sports among other communications companies.

“CSE brings us a very high level of professionalism, tremendous practical experience, and a built-in infrastructure necessary to propel the SoCon in the fields of marketing and media distribution,” said Commissioner John Iamarino. “We see a great upside in working with a respected, successful company such as CSE.”
