Wofford's Beuerlein named Academic All-American

Spartanburg, S.C. – The 2017 Academic All-America Division 1 soccer teams were announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday afternoon. Wofford women's soccer player Katie Beuerlein was selected to the second team and is the only player from the Southern Conference to be named to the Academic All-American teams.
Beuerlein, a senior forward from Knoxville, Tennessee, played in 18 of the Terriers 19 matches and scored seven goals while tallying five assists. She finished the season second in goals scored and third in assists. Aside from her accomplishments on the field, Beuerlein has earned a 4.00 GPA in her Biology major with a concentration in neuroscience. She has also been named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll three times.
