SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Samford’s Holly Horsfall has been named the Southern Conference women’s tennis player of the week for all matches played Jan. 13 through Feb. 5, the conference announced Tuesday. Horsfall started the season 3-0 at the No. 3 spot and was 3-1 in doubles with partner Elsa Pool. Overall the Bulldogs are off to a 3-1 start with their lone loss coming at Mississippi State.
Horsfall started her sophomore campaign with two straight victories at the No. 3 spot and then earned her third win of the season at the No. 4 spot as she did not drop a set against Alabama-Huntsville.
