The 2008 Southern Conference Softball Championship will be held Wednesday, May 7 through Saturday, May 10. All games will be played at the Patriots Point Athletic Complex.

$30 all-tournament pass

$5 good-any-session pass (there will be two sessions per day with one session on Saturday)

 

PLEASE NOTE: Pets are NOT allowed in the Patriots Point Athletics Complex.

THE CHAMPIONSHIP

The first softball championship was held in 1994 with Furman capturing the title. Since then, only four other schools have won the tournament: Chattanooga (8), Georgia Southern (2) and College of Charleston (1). Furman became the first team seeded seventh to win the championship with an extra-inning win over Georgia Southern in the 2007 championship.
