LEXINGTON, Ky. – College of Charleston senior middle blocker Sarah Havel was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-South Region Honorable Mention list. 

A native of Carmel, Ind., Havel finished her CofC career with a stellar senior season, earning First Team All-Southern Conference honors and being named a finalist for the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award.

Havel led the conference with 1.05 blocks per set while also finishing third on the team with 334 kills (2.51/set) for an attack percentage of .279.

She finished with 1,032 kills for her career and 463 total blocks, good for fourth place all-time at CofC. She earned SoCon Defensive Player of the Week honors and a place on the SoCon All-Tournament team after making 10 blocks in three matches in the tournament as the Cougars advanced to the championship match for the 10th straight season.
