This season marks the 15th consecutive season that the tournament has been held in Charleston. Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park will be the site of the 2004 championship. Play begins at 10 am on Wednesday, May 26. The championship game is scheduled for 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 29.
The only tie in the final standings involved Georgia Southern and The Citadel which each tied for second. GSU earned the number two seed in the tournament by virtue of its three-game regular season sweep of the Bulldogs.
The championship starts at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 26 when fourth-seed Elon plays #5 UNC Greensboro.
The College of Charleston (42-12) earned its first number one seed by virtue of its regular season Southern Conference championship. The Cougars will open tournament play on Wednesday, May 26 at 1:00 pm when they face defending champion Western Carolina (25-29).
Number two seed Georgia Southern (33-23) will start tournament play at 4:00 pm on Wednesday when the Eagles play the seventh seed Davidson (19-31).
The first day of action will conclude when the host Citadel (33-25) will play East Tennessee State (28-28) at 7:30 pm on Wednesday.Western Carolina is the defending champion.
