
GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced its 2019 Zag Sports Academic Honor Squads and Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday. Three of the six Southern Conference programs were named Academic Honor Squads, while 26 student-athletes earned spots on the Academic Honor Roll.
Central Michigan, Detroit Mercy and Mercer were named Academic Honor Squads, posting team GPAs of 3.0 or higher for the academic year.
Central Michigan led the way with nine student-athletes on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, while Detroit Mercy and Mercer both had five student-athletes selected. Delaware State and Wofford were represented by one student-athlete each for the prestigious honor. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
