SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Detroit Mercy’s Kamryn Corraro and Taryn McManus have been named the Southern Conference women’s lacrosse offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively, for all competition April 9-15.

A sophomore attacker from Farmingham, Minnesota, Corraro led the Titans in goals (nine) and points (11) last week, scoring on all nine of her shots. She had a career-high five goals, scoring on all five shots in a 14-12 win over Furman on Friday. She then tallied a career-best six points on four goals and two assists in Sunday’s 17-8 win over Wofford.

McManus, a midfielder from Elora, Ontario, led the Titans in ground balls (eight) and caused turnovers (five) in both of Detroit Mercy’s victories last season. In the win on Friday, McManus had five ground balls and three caused turnovers and added one goal and one assist. On Sunday, the freshman added three ground balls, two caused turnovers and one draw control.

Up next for the Titans is a matchup with Coastal Carolina on Saturday before welcoming No. 8 Michigan on Tuesday.

Also nominated for offensive player of the week: Jocelyn Lemay (Central Michigan), Abby Shields (Furman), Kendall Garrett (Mercer) and Hannah Mutch (Wofford).

Also nominated for defensive player of the week: Logan Halvorson (Central Michigan), Courtney Baker (Furman), Audrey Robertson (Mercer) and Kelsey Thompson (Wofford).
