SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Furman junior Savannah Carnahan has been named the General Shale Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for all competition from Nov. 14-20.
Carnahan earned All-America honors at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships on Saturday, finishing 20th overall in a time of 20:19.14 on the 6K course and helping the Paladins a 23rd-place team finish in Madison, Wisconsin.
The Cumming, Georgia, native is double majoring in applied mathematics and chemistry and holds a 3.92 grade-point average. In October, she won the SoCon Pinnacle Award for having the highest GPA on the winning team at the SoCon Cross Country Championship for the second straight season.
