WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – UNCG men’s and women’s indoor track resumed its 2017-18 indoor season with the JDL New Year College Kick-Off on Sunday afternoon at JDL FastTrack. William Sandin had the best individual finish by a Spartan, winning the 800-meter run.

Taylor Delaney was the runner-up in the women’s 800-meter-run, and Ariana Garcia also placed second in the mile run. Both Delaney and Garcia were the top collegiate finishers in their respective events.

Holly Mordoff turned in a second-place performance in the 3,000-meter.

Three Spartans won their heats to advance to the finals of their events. Josie McGee won in the 400-meter, Ashlyn Dalton took her heat of the women’s 800-meter and Ewan Hynes had the top time in his heat of the men’s 800-meter.

The Blue & Gold returns to action next weekend with the ETSU Invitational that will run all-day on Jan. 12 and 13.
