SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Appalachian State's Forrest Przybysz has been named the Southern Conference wrestler of the week for all competition from Nov. 8-14, the league office announced Wednesday.

Przybysz, a senior from Jefferson, Georgia, picked up two victories at 174 pounds in the Mountaineer Duals on Saturday. Przybysz first earned a 6-2 decision over Bloomsburg’s Kyle Murphy before pinning Davidson’s Noah Satterfield.

Przybysz helped lift the Mountaineers to a 2-0 record to begin the year, topping Bloomsburg 28-7 and blanking Davidson 45-0.

Przybysz, who was selected preseason All-SoCon, returns to the mat Sunday when the Mountaineers compete in the Keystone Classic.
