MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The ETSU men’s golf team completed its first two rounds of the General Hackler Championship on Saturday afternoon from The Dunes Golf & Beach Club.
The Buccaneers were led by freshman Shiso Go, as he is tied for 31st at 3-over-par 147. Go – who totaled 22 pars and six birdies on the day – fired a 2-under 70 in the opening round, while concluding the day with a 5-over 77 in round two.
As a team, the Bucs are tied for 13th at 18-over-par 594 (298-296).
LSU’s Phillip Barbaree holds the 36-hole lead at 5-under-par 139 (68-71), while a group of three golfers are one shot back at 4-under-par 140.
Georgia Tech sits atop the team leaderboard at 9-under-par 567 (283-284) as the eighth-ranked Yellow Jackets have a two-shot lead over No. 2 Texas A&M and a nine-stroke advantage over No. 38 Kentucky.
Junior Geuntae Kim is tied for 38th at 4-over-par 148 (76-72) and freshman Jack Rhea is tied for 45th at 5-over-par 149 (75-74).
The final round gets underway Sunday at 1:30 p.m., with ETSU being paired with Virginia and Liberty.
