ORANGEBURG, S.C. - The lady Terriers tennis team fell in its second match of the season Friday afternoon at South Carolina State University by a score of 7-0.
The match was the first of the season for South Carolina State who was recently picked to finish first in the southern division of the Mid Eastern Athletic Conference. Wofford fell behind early in doubles losing two matches to one which gave South Carolina State a one point advantage heading into singles play.
The Terriers lone winning match of the day came at number three doubles where freshmen Guinn Garcia and Stephanie Cox teamed up to defeat Fanni Fricska and Laura Bosneag by a score of 8-5.
The women's tennis team will return to action on Tuesday February, 9th when they will travel to Boiling Springs, N.C. to take on Gardner Webb.
