MACON, Ga. - The Southern Conference Tennis Championships are delayed yet again on Saturday morning. As multiple rain showers forced delays on Friday, the men's semifinal matches started, but didn't finish, and were set to resume at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the women's championship slated to follow at 1 p.m. and the men's final planned for around 3 p.m. However, another rain shower around 9 a.m. on Saturday has caused matches to be pushed back.

SATURDAY UPDATES

UPDATE AS OF 1:30 PM:

The rain has stopped and the courts are drying. The plan is to play both semifinal matches AND the women's championship at 2:45 p.m. Stay tuned to SoConSports.com and @SoConSports on Twitter for updates. Live stats links are available here and will be updated as frequently as possible. 

UPDATE AS OF 11 AM:

It is currently still raining in Macon, and no play will begin before 2 p.m. at the earliest. 

UPDATE AS OF 9 AM:

Everything is pushed back one hour. The men's semifinal matches will be played at 11 a.m., barring any further delays, and the women's championship and men's championship will follow at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively. 

FRIDAY UPDATES

The semifinals of the Southern Conference Tennis Championships will not begin at 10 a.m. as originally scheduled due to rain and storms in the greater Macon area. Southern Conference officials are monitoring the weather and the conference will provide updates when available. 

UPDATE AS OF 11 AM: 

Weather is expected to be out of the area by mid-day, at which point conference officials will evaluate court conditions and set match times.

UPDATE AS OF 2 PM: 

We plan to begin women's matches at 3 p.m. and play men's semifinal matches after. 

UPDATE AS OF 3 PM: 

The women's semifinal matches between Furman/Samford and ETSU/Wofford began doubles play. 

UPDATE AS OF 3:20 PM: 

Women's doubles play was halted due to rain. 

UPDATE AS OF 5:00 PM: 

Women's doubles play, followed by singles play and the two men's matches, is expected to resume at 5:30 p.m.

UPDATE AS OF 8:00 PM: 

Women's doubles and singles play concluded and men were halfway through doubles when rain returned. 

MEN'S SEMIFINALS WILL RESUME AT 10 AM ON SATURDAY. THE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP WILL REMAIN AT 1 PM AS ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED, AND THE MEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH WILL FOLLOW AROUND 3 P.M.
