SoCon announces fall ESPN broadcast schedule

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – A total of 124 Southern Conference home sporting events, including all 46 home football games, will appear on ESPN3 or ESPN+, with one football game each week on ESPN3 and the remaining contests appearing on ESPN+.

The majority of SoCon football games will be carried on ESPN+, which also will carry hundreds of games from across many FCS conferences. Throughout the season, 12 home football games will air on ESPN3, with the remaining 34 appearing on ESPN+. All nine league football schools will have at least one home game on ESPN3, starting with Chattanooga when it hosts Tennessee Tech on Aug. 30. Samford will host Shorter the same day in a contest that will air on ESPN+. Games are not expected to move from one platform to the other during the season.

Men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball will account for 78 total ESPN digital appearances, with 29 on ESPN3 and the remaining 49 on ESPN+.
