CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The women’s golf teams at ETSU and UNCG were among the top 25 in the nation in terms of GPA, as announced by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association on Wednesday.
ETSU was eighth nationally with a team mark of 3.816, while UNCG tied for 12th at 3.784.

Six ETSU student-athletes earned spots on the SoCon Honor Roll in 2016-17, including SoCon Player of the Year Loy Hee Ying, who led the Bucs with a 3.97 GPA for the year and was one of three ETSU women’s golfers to earn the SoCon Commissioner’s Medal for having a GPA of 3.8 or higher.

UNCG also had six student-athletes earn SoCon Honor Roll distinction, paced by Lexi Kershaw’s perfect 4.0 GPA for the academic year.
