UNCG women's golf had seventh-best team GPA in nation

GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro’s women’s golf team finished the 2018-19 academic year with the seventh-highest cumulative team GPA amongst Division I women’s golf programs, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced.

UNCG finished the year with a 3.8 cumulative GPA, which set a new program record. Additionally, the team’s cumulative GPA was the highest amongst Division I women’s golf programs in the state of North Carolina.

“Seventh in the country is amazing,” said head coach Janell Howland. “I am so proud of the team and their commitment in the classroom. This is a goal they set for themselves and I am so happy for them.”

New Mexico was named the recipient of the 2018-19 WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award with a cumulative GPA of 3.903.
