SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Furman's Natalie Srinivasan has been named the Southern Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for all competition from Sept. 4-10.
The Spartanburg, South Carolina, native finished tied for 16th out of 93 participants at the Cougar Classic this week, leading the Paladins to a share of fifth in a field that included six teams ranked in the top 25 nationally. She opened the tournament on fire with a 4-under-par 68, which included a team-high of six birdies, and followed with an even-par round of 72 in the second round. Srinivasan closed out with a final-round 74. A Golfweek Preseason All-American, Srinivasan led the team with a 72.7 stroke average in the 2018-19 season.
Furman will compete next at the Glass City Invitational in Toledo, Ohio, Sept. 16-17.
