SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Samford’s Kelsi Hobbs has been named the General Shale Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for all competition from Nov. 28-Dec. 4.
Hobbs tallied 12 kills and seven digs in the Bulldogs’ NCAA Tournament match at No. 17 seed USC, on Nov. 30, as Samford made its fourth appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The junior was named to the SoCon’s Fall Academic All-Conference team in 2017-18 and is a two-time member of the SoCon Academic Honor Roll.
The Hoover, Alabama, native is majoring in sports administration and currently holds a 3.82 grade point average.
