SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Samford forward Jermaine Seoposenwe has been named the Southern Conference women’s soccer player of the week for all competition from Oct. 2-8 after scoring two goals and registering two assists in a pair of Bulldog victories.
The senior from Cape Town, South Africa, rose up and sent home a header in the 73rd minute to put Samford ahead of UNCG 1-0 on Friday. Against VMI on Sunday, Seoposenwe scored a goal and had two assists in a 4-0 win. The goal was Seoposenwe’s 35th for her career, setting a new Samford program record. Seoposenwe is also the Bulldogs’ career leader in points (104), assists (34) and game-winning goals (15).
Samford, who is unbeaten in conference play, has a pair of upcoming road games this week, traveling to Mercer on Friday and to The Citadel on Sunday.
