MACON, Ga. – Former Mercer midfielder Kobe Perez is set to make the move from Tormenta 2 to the club’s USL League One side on Thursday, pending league and federation approval.
Perez, a second team All-Southern Conference player in 2018, helped lead the Bears to three consecutive SoCon titles and played in 77 matches in his career. He finished his senior campaign with a career-best 12 points on four goals and four assists.
The Dalton, Ga., native was a staple in Tormenta 2’s midfield this season with 17 games played in 961 minutes, notching three goals and three assists; while helping the team clinch its second Deep South Division championship title and first Southern Conference championship. Perez is eligible for play starting this Saturday against Greenville Triumph SC.
