SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The 2017-18 Lute Olson Award midseason watch list was announced on Thursday afternoon and Wofford guard Fletcher Magee was one of 30 players named. The Lute Olson Award is presented annually to the nation’s top NCAA Division I player who has played at least two seasons.

Magee was also one of 51 players named to the Lou Henson Award preseason watch list. The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the nation’s top Division I mid-major player.

Magee, a junior, is second nationally in total 3-point field goals made (72), and 3-point field goals made per game (4.5), and free-throw percentage (97.9 percent). He has scored in double digits in 61 straight games. Magee leads the Southern Conference in points per game (23.0), 3-point field goals made per game, and free-throw percentage. The native of Orlando, Florida, is second in 3-point field goal percentage (52.2 percent), third in minutes played (32.2) and sixth in field goal percentage (53.9 percent) in the conference.

The 2017-18 Lute Olson National Player of the Year Award will be announced on March 31, 2018, at the CollegeInsider.com Awards Event in San Antonio, Texas, site of the men’s NCAA Final Four.
