SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU women’s soccer player Sarah Connolly has been named the General Shale Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for competition held Sept. 19-25.
The sophomore forward helped to lead the Bucs to a 2-0 conference start with wins over Furman and Wofford. Against Wofford, Connolly scored four goals in the Bucs’ 7-1 victory. She took six shots for the week, all of which were on target for a perfect 1.000 shots-on-goal percentage. Connolly leads the team with five goals and 11 points on 12 shots and seven shots on goal. She was also named this week’s women’s soccer player of the week.
A journalism major, Connolly holds a 3.966 grade point average.
The Bucs continue conference play this week at they travel to Western Carolina on Friday.
