Sophomore Asher Nolting and senior Tim Troutner Jr. of the High Point University men's lacrosse team have been named to Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-American List. Nolting received second team honors, while Troutner Jr. was placed on the third team. Jacksonville midfielder Jack Dolan earned honorable mention.
Nolting leads the Panthers with 55 points and 30 assists this season. He is second on the team with 25 goals. The Greenwood Village, Colorado, native ranks fifth in the NCAA in assists per game at 3.00 and points per game at 5.50. He leads the Southern Conference in both categories. Nolting has posted a .588 shots on goal percentage and a .368 shot percentage this season. The sophomore attackman tied his career-high with seven points twice this season (Feb. 2 vs. St. Bonaventure and March 9 vs. UMBC). Nolting set a career high with five goals against VMI March 15. He was named to the Tewaraaton Award Watch List for the second time in his career this season.
Troutner leads High Point in the cage with a .557 save percentage and a 10.81 goals against average. The Annapolis, Maryland, native is 15th in the NCAA in save percentage, 24th in saves per game (12.00) and 27th in goals against average. Troutner is third in the SoCon in all three categories. He made a season-high 19 saves in the Panthers' 13-9 win at then-No. 2 Duke on Feb. 6. Troutner has posted double-digit saves in seven of 10 games this season. The senior goalie logged the first shutout in program history with a 13-0 win over St. Bonaventure on Feb. 2. He was named to the Tewaraaton Award Watch List for the first time in his career this season.
