
Also garnering first place votes
were North Dakota State in second with 649 points and four first place votes,
Massachusetts in third with five first place votes and 638 points and McNeese
State in seventh with one first place vote and 536 points. Northern Iowa, Appalachian State, Southern
Illinois, Wofford, James Madison and Youngstown State round out the top 10.
The biggest leap in the poll came
when
FCS Coaches Poll is based
exclusively on a voting panel of head coaches in the FCS under the cooperation
of the Collegiate Commissioners Association (CCA) and the American Football
Coaches Association (AFCA).
The poll is available on the
newly-created FCS web page that features the poll,
conference scores and standings, and features on FCS programs and players. The
Southern Conference oversees the poll and maintain the web site.
